Padmashri Mukund Nayak is a folk artist, songwriter, and writer who revived traditional musical arts in Jharkhand. He is the founder of Kunjban, a nonprofit leader in music, arts, and social events in Jharkhand. Highly respected throughout India, he received the Padmashri award in 2017 to recognize his influence throughout India. He has also received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, which is the highest award given to performing artists.
